What Is a VI Chemical Peel?

A VI Peel is a medical-grade medium-depth peel that utilizes a blend of powerful ingredients to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin.

It penetrates your top layer of skin, the epidermis, and reaches into the dermis underneath, exfoliating skin and stimulating the production of new proteins.

Key ingredients often include TCA (trichloroacetic acid), salicylic acid, and vitamin C, which work synergistically to promote skin rejuvenation, treat signs of aging, improve skin texture, and correct pigment concerns.

How a VI Peel Procedure Works

Our skilled providers will first cleanse your skin during a VI Peel procedure to prepare it for treatment. The peel solution will be applied in two layers evenly over the desired areas, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate the skin.

Patients may experience a mild tingling sensation during the application, but this is typically well-tolerated. When the second layer is applied, your skin will turn white or “frost.” After about four to six hours, you’ll wash off the peel.

Following the procedure, a post-peel kit will be provided to ensure optimal results and skin care. Expect your skin to start peeling about three days after the procedure, but it should clear up by the fifth day.

You’ll see noticeable results by day seven.

VI Peel Aftercare Instructions

  • Use a gentle, non-irritating cleanser and moisturizer. Apply moisturizer frequently until you’re done peeling.

  • Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy skincare routine.
