What Is a VI Chemical Peel?

A VI Peel is a medical-grade medium-depth peel that utilizes a blend of powerful ingredients to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin.

It penetrates your top layer of skin, the epidermis, and reaches into the dermis underneath, exfoliating skin and stimulating the production of new proteins.

Key ingredients often include TCA (trichloroacetic acid), salicylic acid, and vitamin C, which work synergistically to promote skin rejuvenation, treat signs of aging, improve skin texture, and correct pigment concerns.

These peels are safe and effective, targeting many skin concerns while suitable for various skin types. They are gentle enough, in fact, to be safely used on your face, chest, eyelids, hands, neck, and back.

Before and After Threading

Benefits of a VI Peel

The benefits of VI Chemical Peels are extensive and impressive.

They address a variety of skin concerns, including:

  • Fine Lines & Wrinkles: VI Peels help reduce the appearance of fine lines and promote a smoother skin texture by stimulating collagen production.
  • Sun Spots & Skin Discoloration: The peeling process aids in even skin tone, reducing the visibility of hyperpigmentation and sun damage.
  • Keratosis Pilaris: Known for treating rough, bumpy skin, sometimes called chicken skin, VI Peels help smooth and clarify areas affected by this skin condition.
  • Acne Improvement: By exfoliating dead skin cells and unclogging pores, this skin peeling treatment effectively reduces acne breakouts and helps to prevent future occurrences.
How a VI Peel Procedure Works

Our skilled providers will first cleanse your skin during a VI Peel procedure to prepare it for treatment. The peel solution will be applied in two layers evenly over the desired areas, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate the skin.

Patients may experience a mild tingling sensation during the application, but this is typically well-tolerated. When the second layer is applied, your skin will turn white or “frost.” After about four to six hours, you’ll wash off the peel.

Following the procedure, a post-peel kit will be provided to ensure optimal results and skin care. Expect your skin to start peeling about three days after the procedure, but it should clear up by the fifth day.

You’ll see noticeable results by day seven.

VI Peel Aftercare Instructions

Proper aftercare is vital for achieving the best results from your VI Peel.

We advise you to follow these guidelines after the procedure:

  • Use a gentle, non-irritating cleanser and moisturizer. Apply moisturizer frequently until you’re done peeling.
  • Avoid sun exposure and always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
  • Refrain from picking at peeling skin, as this can cause irritation or scarring.
  • Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy skincare routine.
How Much Does a VI Peel Cost?

Our medium-depth VI Chemical Peels are $350 per session.

How Often Can You Get a VI Peel?

We typically recommend VI Peels every four to six weeks for optimal results, depending on individual skin needs and treatment goals.

Our providers are here to assess your skin and create a customized plan that best fits your lifestyle and aesthetic desires.

Why Choose a VI Peel Over Other Skin Peels?

While our light chemical peels and physical peels, like the SilkPeel Dermalinfusion, offer amazing results for what they are, some of our clients need a skin peel that penetrates deeper into the skin layers.

VI Peels are medical-grade treatments that do just that, providing more effective exfoliation and rejuvenation than light chemical peels. This depth of action allows for more significant improvement in fine lines, sun spots, and acne, making VI Peels a suitable choice for clients seeking noticeable results.

SilkPeel Dermalinfusion offers a non-invasive approach that combines exfoliation with simultaneous infusion of serums tailored to specific skin concerns. While it benefits hydration and overall skin health, it may not provide the same intensity or results for more severe skin issues that a VI Peel can address.

Clients seeking a deeper treatment for tougher skin concerns often find that VI Peels deliver more impactful results. They reinvigorate the skin with a comprehensive blend of potent ingredients tailored to promote healing and rejuvenation.
