What Aftercare Is Required With Dermaplaning Treatments?

This treatment is not invasive and even less irritating for some patients than peels and other exfoliating procedures. However, you may experience redness and some swelling right after the procedure.

If the swelling doesn’t go down after a week, seek medical assistance.

Within a few weeks, you should be able to resume normal activities, but wear sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight on your face. Protecting your new layers of skin from UV rays is crucial.

Is There Anyone Who Shouldn’t Do Dermaplaning?

Yes, some people with preexisting skin concerns should not have dermaplaning.
